Victoria Page is poised to become a prima ballerina, but earns ballet impressario Boris Lermontov’s scorn when she falls in love with Julian Craster, composer of "The Red Shoes," the ballet Lermontov is staging to showcase her talents.

One of the most beautiful films ever made, with colour that just can't be replicated digitally, this adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale is satisfyingly sinister.

Ciné-Real is one of the only film clubs in the UK to exclusively play films from original 16mm prints. They are a non-profit organisation which aims to unite film makers and enthusiasts in their appreciation of classic film.
