In addition to the cinema we have another beautiful space - our bar & restaurant.
Inspired by the original curved ceiling, the decor celebrates the heyday of cinema with velvet, beads and the best bar lamps ever! Making your visit to The Castle Cinema a truly memorable occasion that harks back to Hollywood's heyday and the picture palaces of the 1920's.
Catch-up with friends before the film begins and after the credits roll pull up a chair to discuss what you loved. And even when you're not joining us for a screening, it's perfect for getting a bite to eat and a drink or two, or three.
From January we'll be open all day too — chat with friends over your morning coffee, spend the afternoon with your notebook and work on that novel, or bring your laptop and get some work done.
We're also going to be hosting a range of events in the bar and exhibiting local artists' work on the walls. Scroll down to find out more...
We don't do table reservations, but if you'd like to hire out the whole space we'd love to have a chat. Check out our Private Hire page for more information.
With lots of white walls we're excited to promote local artists.
Our current artist is Nepal Earthquake Recovery Fund, who are dispalying paintings from five Nepalese artists.
Nepal Earthquake Recovery Fund (NERF) is a small, independent UK-based charity helping to deliver long-term, community-based recovery solutions following the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015. NERF has commissioned a number of highly-skilled Nepali artists to paint original works that really showcase the beauty of this unique country.
If you would like to display your work or know someone who might, just drop us an email.
