FAQs

We’re open from 10am til 11pm daily (earlier close on Sundays).

We don’t have adverts, just 10 minutes of trailers! So your film will start 10 minutes after the advertised start time.

See our bar page for more info!

We don't take table reservations for groups smaller than 15 guests - just rock up and grab a space! Bigger groups, please email hire@thecastlecinema.com

Not yet, but we’re working on a lift installation application at the moment. For updates on our application please see here.
In the meantime, we've created a detailed access statement to provide as much information about our facilities as possible.

Yes, although we have stairs, there is a buzzer which can be used to alert staff, who can help carry pushchairs, etc.

As a small team we don’t have the resources to operate a public phone line, but we will get back to you swifty - please see our Contact Us page for more information.

Email hello@thecastlecinema.com. Let us know when you came and where you were sitting, and give us as much information about your lost item as possible. Cinema chairs like to eat treasured possessions!

We understand things can change at the last minute. If you give us at least four hours notice, we will give you a voucher for the value of your tickets. Submit a voucher request here!

The member ticket discount is designed as a benefit just for the member, so it can only be used once per performance (except for the Premier Plus which allows two).
However we've made the other member benefits more inclusive - you can use your member discount for unlimited food & drink at the bar, and if you have more than one free ticket available you can use two for the same performance.

Yes! Instead of concessionary tickets we offer a concessionary membership, which includes a free ticket plus all our other member benefits for the year, including 20-50% off tickets and 10% off at the bar. You can purchase concessionary membership here, and book using the free ticket straight away... Alternatively, we're at the box office every day :)

To take advantage of your free tickets online all you will need is your patron number and your email address.
You will then need to take the following steps on our website...
1. Select the screening you would like to attend, you'll then be taken to the ticket selection page.
2. Select the number of 'Free Member Tickets' you would like to use and click continue.
3. You'll then be brought to the seat selection page. Pick out the seats you would like and click continue once again.
4. You'll then be asked to enter your membership details.
5. If you are redeeming more than 1 free ticket from the same membership, you'll need to re-enter the same membership details the necessary amount of times.
6. Then, click apply!
If you have any trouble with booking, or you're not sure what your patron number is, please email hello@thecastlecinema.com and we'd be happy to help.

When purchasing a standard ticket, the carer goes free! You’ll just need to enter your CEA number at checkout :)

It’s a five digit number that you were given when you signed up. If you renew your membership, your patron number stays the same. You can find it in your original new membership confirmation email.
If you have any trouble locating it, please email hello@thecastlecinema.com and we'd be happy to help.

No. All memberships last for one year and do not auto-renew. Renew your membership here. You can renew your old membership even if it expired a while ago. All you’ll need is your patron number and email address!

If you renew your membership, your unused free tickets will automatically carry over!
If you don’t renew your membership, you won’t be able to access any of your unused free tickets.

Check the date of your original membership sign-up email. All memberships are valid for one year from their start date. If you’re not sure, email hello@thecastlecinema.com

All gift vouchers are valid for one year. If you were issued your voucher via email, please check the date of the email. If you’re not sure, please email hello@thecastlecinema.com

We recommend either purchasing a voucher for roughly the amount of your desired membership (any excess can be redeemed on tickets or the bar)!
Or buying the membership with their name but using your email address so they don't receive a confirmation email.
Once gifted, let us know and we’ll update their email address.
Either way a physical membership card or voucher card can be picked up from the cinema if you would like something more physical to present.

At the moment, we don't have physical gift cards. However, if you’d like to pop in we would be more than happy to print the receipt (which will include the voucher code) and pop it into one of our snazzy card holders.
Alternatively, another nice solution may be to simply integrate the code into their card (be it a Christmas or birthday card, etc). Feel free to be as creative as you wish - all we need is to be able to read the voucher code when your friend visits.

‘Child’ tickets can only be purchased for under 14’s.
Under 12's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

If your child is less than 1 year old and they will be on your lap, they don't need a ticket and can enter a screening if it is BBFC certified appropriate (U/PG/12A). At a regular screening, no adjustments would be made to the playlist; the volume will still be at standard level & if your baby makes any noise, you must take them out of the screening.
Alternatively, check out our dedicated Parent & Baby screenings!
If your child is over 1 then they need a ticket to enter, and only if the film is BBFC certified appropriate (U/PG/12A). If your child makes any noise or disruption, including compromising fire aisles then we kindly ask that you take them out of the screening.
