The Florida Project, Presented by Open City

6-year-old Moonee and her two best friends forge their own adventures around the motel that they call home. A kaleidoscopic portrait of life on the margins, this neorealist gem adopts a child’s perspective to ask what makes a good childhood, and what precludes it. This screening is presented by Open City, a charity empowering communities to learn about, feel connected to, and have a role in shaping places where they live. Before the screening Open City’s editorial director Merlin Fulcher will sit down with Nabil Al-Kinani (Authors of the Estate) to discuss housing scarcity, gentrification and the power of community. All film tickets include a sweet treat from Buns From Home. Plus unlimited cups of tea. Join us for more films, boardgames and craft workshops (including a pre-bookable kintsugi pottery class) throughout the day. Explore the full programme here.

The Dilapidated Dwelling

Acclaimed essay-filmmaker Patrick Keller (London, Robinson in Space), deploys his distinctive combination of documentary techniques and fictional elements in this riveting documentary exploring the UK’s housing crisis, with narration by Tilda Swinton. A fictional researcher (Swinton) is recalled to Britain from the Arctic, where she has spent twenty years working with people who build their houses from snow. Once back, she is given the task of investigating why the UK is so far behind the rest of western Europe when it comes to housing. All film tickets include a sweet treat from Buns From Home. Plus unlimited cups of tea. Join us for more films, boardgames and craft workshops (including a pre-bookable kintsugi pottery class) throughout the day. Explore the full programme here.

Kintsugi Pottery Workshop

Kintsugi ( "golden joinery") is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with urushi lacquer mixed with powdered gold. As a philosophy, kintsugi can relate to embracing flaws and imperfections, and encompass the concepts of accepting change. In celebration of the platform launch for Joachim Trier’s SENTIMENTAL VALUE, a film that intimately explores the complex nature of family, and the reconciliatory power of art, join us for a unique opportunity to repair pots handmade by East London’s very own Cernamic studio, and take home your own one-of-a-kind piece. Explore the full programme here.

Sound of Falling

Four adolescent girls spend their youth in the same farmhouse at different stages over the last century. Though separated by decades, striking similarities emerge: their desires and distress, secrets and truths, with whispers from the past lingering in the walls of their childhood home. Winner of the Cannes Jury Prize 2025, lush cinematography and spellbinding sound design meet to deliver a truly unforgettable storytelling experience that lingers long after the credits roll." All film tickets include a sweet treat from Buns From Home. Plus unlimited cups of tea. Sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their father, a once-renowned filmmaker intent on turning their family history into his comeback with a film set within their childhood home. The film reveals a house that is more than a backdrop—it is a living witness to a century of family history and shared secrets. Winner of BAFTA for Best Film Not in the English Language, nominated for nine Oscars, and featuring an all-star cast, Sentimental Value is a stunningly observed family drama which traces the fault lines that course between vanity, art, and life. The House Of The Devil, Presented by The MUBI Podcast

A young college student who’s struggling financially takes a strange babysitting job which coincides with a full lunar eclipse. She slowly realises the family house harbours a terrible secret, putting her life in mortal danger. Masterful suspense, irresistible 1980s style and terrifyingly twisty, this is a contemporary classic of the haunted house genre from horror master Ti West. Before the screening, MUBI Podcast contributor Anna Bogutskaya will make a special introduction exploring how movies about haunted houses let us explore—and often parallel—our relationships with our homes. Check out season six of The MUBI Podcast, all about Haunted Homes. All film tickets include a sweet treat from Buns From Home. Plus unlimited cups of tea. Join us for more films, boardgames and craft workshops (including a pre-bookable kintsugi pottery class) throughout the day. Explore the full programme here.

Neighbouring Sounds

Set on the Brazilian coast in Recife, Neighbouring Sounds is a subtle commentary on class relations between the middle-class residents of a neighbourhood and the private security guards hired to patrol it. It is a sensorial and distinctive piece of filmmaking, where everyday domestic sounds from neighbouring properties create an ominous atmosphere, and urban homes appear structured around fear and protection rather than comfort. All film tickets include a sweet treat from Buns From Home. Plus unlimited cups of tea. Join us for more films, boardgames and craft workshops (including a pre-bookable kintsugi pottery class) throughout the day. Explore the full programme here.
