An unassuming mechanic named Vahid has a chance encounter with Eghbal, a man with a distinct limp from a prosthetic leg, whom Vahid recognizes as his former, sadistic prison interrogator. Panicked, Vahid kidnaps him and gathers other survivors to confirm his identity and decide what to do with him.

The film won the prestigious Palme d'Or at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, making Panahi the only filmmaker to win top honors at all four major international film festivals.
