Set on the Brazilian coast in Recife, Neighbouring Sounds is a subtle commentary on class relations between the middle-class residents of a neighbourhood and the private security guards hired to patrol it.
It is a sensorial and distinctive piece of filmmaking, where everyday domestic sounds from neighbouring properties create an ominous atmosphere, and urban homes appear structured around fear and protection rather than comfort.
All film tickets include a sweet treat from Buns From Home. Plus unlimited cups of tea.
Join us for more films, boardgames and craft workshops (including a pre-bookable kintsugi pottery class) throughout the day.
