Following on from her cannibal coming-of-ager Raw, Julia Ducournau clinched this year's Palme d'Or with Titane, a visceral body horror with strong Cronenberg overtones. It's best to go in with as little knowledge as possible, so suffice it to say that the film is about Alexia (Agathe Rousselle), who forms a strange relationship with metal objects after a titanium plate is inserted into her skull as a child.
This film will be followed by a Q&A with Lu Etienne, film scholar specialising in trans cinema at contemporary festivals. They're also a curator and activist.
