Our first screening is the OG The Substance, 1992’s Death Becomes Her, a darkly comedic masterpiece starring living icons, Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. A dazzlingly camp mix of beauty, betrayal, and immortality, this film drips with satire on Hollywood's obsession with youth and vanity - served with a side of outrageous special effects and wicked humour. It's a cult favourite for a reason, and one of those films that only gets better with time (like a fine bottle of immortality potion, available at the bar).
