For this month's edition of Jellied Reels, we are excited to present a special double-bill of 2 medium length features from Spain and Georgia. We'd like to think of it as a blossoming bouquet of spring-themed films (and hope you do too).

You Have to Come and See It (Tenéis que venir a verla) dir. Jonás Trueba (2022), 64mins

Two couples who are friends meet up. They listen to music, talk, read, eat, take a walk, play ping pong… it may not sound like much for a movie, so that’s why You Have To Come And See It.

April (Aprili) dir. Otar Iosseliani (1961), 47mins

A young couple moves into a new apartment in which water, gas and electricity are controlled by the simple expression of their love. Some of their neighbours, obsessed by a frenetic need for possession, end up convincing them to stuff their home with furniture and soon leaving the couple with dwindling space for feeling.

Jellied Reels serves up screenings of the best films you've never tried (or likely won't find on streaming)... For more details about our upcoming programme at the Castle - follow us here!
